Miner's day — professional holiday of miners, whose history began in the Soviet Union, and now, after the collapse of the USSR, he is still celebrated in Russia, Ukraine, Estonia and Kazakhstan, on the last Sunday of August.

According to the advanced resolution, the UN General Assembly declared the International Day of the Disappeared, celebrated annually on August 30th.
