International day for biological diversity
Our world it inhabits a huge variety of living organisms, from tiny bacteria to giant elephants and whales. They are all representatives of particular ecosystems and are divided into various types. They are integral components of the natural wealth and harmony. To preserve this diversity, the United Nations on 22 may on the whole planet was recognized Day for biological diversity.
It would seem that this is a celebration of bright colors and violence of life, but a reason to celebrate this day, rather sad. Over the last several hundred years of civilization mankind has managed to make a lot of trouble for the environment. Thoughtless use of natural resources, lack of care of our younger brothers, living in the wild, has postponed a significant imprint on the face of the planet.
World day for biological diversity encourages people to think about the impact they are having on the Earth's nature. This day should draw the attention of mankind to the problems caused by its activities faced by many species of animals.
Urbanization, landscape change due to deforestation, drainage of wetlands, fires, changes in the flow of rivers and so on, reduce the area of natural areas of existence for a great number of species. People invade their habitats, their roads and highways, power plants and transmission lines. They are reckless and excessive use of natural resources and pollute the environment. Transport of different species of plants and animals unsuitable for this area, which leads to the collapse of ecosystems.
The nature of Russia is rich and striking, bright colors. That is why the international day for biological diversity can be a wonderful opportunity for each of us to think if we want to preserve it in all its glory. We need now to be more concerned about the careful use of its resources, the renewal of lost natural elements, the protection of wild animals and plants, especially those that are on the verge of extinction.
