The private commercial group of companies "Rospayp" was an initiator of celebration of day of the designer. This organization notes that historical injustice induced them to this action. The day of the builder is celebrated annually and on a substantial scale, and at designers by whose work the construction of any building is preceded, the professional holiday before recent time wasn't. However other specialists of a construction industry, such so energy drinks and engineers, the holidays had.
It is necessary to consider that work of designers consists not only in designing of high-rise constructions. Specialists designers do also projects of linear constructions: iron and highways, ways of tram lines, power lines, gas pipelines, pipelines, sewer systems.
For the first time Day of the designer took place on November 16, 2005 in St. Petersburg. At it there were 150 guests, the decision to celebrate this date annually was made. A year later the holiday occupied three cities: Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. And the following 2007, on the date of the designer more than 2 thousand designers from 15 cities of the country gathered.
Now the holiday assumed the all-Russian scale, and many specialists I use it to meet and discuss professional and everyday questions with colleagues, and hope that in the near future their unofficial professional holiday will replace the status and will even become international.
