Day handwriting
Before the invention of printing, calligraphy was the main way of text graphic design, it was emphasized intonation and the overall mood of the story. The European tradition of calligraphy originated in Ancient Greece and Rome. The emergence of Christianity gave rise to the art of penmanship, because we had to copy large quantities of the Bible and other religious texts. The greatest flowering of the art of beautiful writing reached in VII-IX centuries in Ireland and Scotland, where the monks created the so-called illuminated gospel – decorated with exquisite miniatures and ornaments.
