The Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications and the Ministry of Culture have supported the initiative of the public to found on April 19 a branch holiday – Day of the Russian polygraphy.
Printers have acted as initiators of a holiday. They tried to obtain the right for the professional day many years. Their dream was fulfilled in 2013. Date of celebration was dated for the beginning of works on the first printing book in Russia – "Apostle". Two knigopechatnik worked on her creation year, from April 19, 1563 to March 1, 1564.
