World mental health day
The most important thing in our life is health, both physical and mental. Since 1992, every 10 October worldwide revered as a mental health Day, which is held under the auspices of the UN.
The decision about the necessity of introducing such a memorable day at the international level was adopted by the world Federation of mental health with the active assistance of the world health organization to attract public attention to the importance of this issue in the modern world.
According to studies, to date, the worldwide population of about 450 million people who suffer from mental disorders and diseases. Every seventh of the representatives of Western civilization has paranoid syndrome or schizophrenia, prone to depression, suffering from drug addiction, alcoholism or other diseases of the psychic nature.
Mental health day involves the creation of a society, on the one hand, feelings of tolerance to mental patients, on the other hand, an active desire to help cure their ailments. Organizations dealing with health issues throughout the world, strive to contribute in reducing depression, epilepsy, drug abuse, Alzheimer's disease, schizophrenia, retardation of mental development.
Mental health day is celebrated to encourage people to unity and solidarity in helping mental patients. It aims to provoke public interest in mental challenges. On this day, on the level of state and public organizations hosts numerous conferences and symposia, discusses new directions in treatment and set direction for mental health and emotional climate of the society, held charity events and public events to inform the public about mental illness.
