The battle of Borodino (in the French version of — “battle on the Moscow river», FR. Bataille de la Moskowa) — the largest battle of the Patriotic war of 1812 between the Russian and French armies. The battle took place on the 7th of September (August 26, old style) 1812 in the village of Borodino, located 125 km West of Moscow.
